Description
Alliant Credit Union, the largest credit union in Illinois, is seeking a Loan Officer to join their Inbound Consumer Loan team. The Loan Officer – Inbound Lending will be responsible for originating consumer and home equity loan products in order to meet and exceed sales goals. The desired candidate will have a strong background in consumer lending and demonstrated sales skills.
Responsibilities of the Loan Officer will include:
- Assesses credit union member needs and counsels them regarding loan products and services.
- Offers additional loan and collateral protection products as appropriate. Products include debt cancellation, extended warranties and Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP).
- Refers additional credit unon products, such as insurance, mortgage, investment and deposit products at a high level.
- Originates consumer and home equity loan applications in order to meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
- Process loan applications by generating a loan application with the member financial information derived from the member interview over the phone.
- Articulately communicates loan decisions to members.
Requirements
Training and Experience:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or related field.
- Three to five years of successful sales experience, (Financial services, Insurance, or Automobile Finance/Sales experience preferred).
- Excellent presentation and communications skills.
- Strong organizational, technical, and decision making skills.
Consumer Lending Experience Preferred.
