Mortgage Loan Funder

The incumbent in this position supports the mortgage operations team in preparing complex first mortgage, correspondent (wholesale), and warehouse loan funding functions. Work involves document preparation, RESPA compliance, and report validation functions. A strong partnership with the Alliant team, vendors, and third party relationships are required.  Resources to do the job require reliance on technical knowledge of mortgage banking and credit union policy and procedures.  Direct supervision is received from the Loan Operations Manager. 

Warehouse Funding:

·      Perform all Warehouse pre-funding, funding and post-funding requirements for participations with other Warehouse lenders including the following:

o   Validate advance requests from client via WLS or other system

o   Verify all criteria are accurate and complete prior to funding

o   Prepare wire authorization and all supporting documents for EFT

o   Obtain all necessary approvals before funding

o   End of Day processing & reconciling with accounting

·      Assist, as needed, with the Alliant Warehouse verification and funding process including the above plus:

o   Verify correct imaged documentation is attached to file

o   Scheduled processing of advance requests and initiating wire requests

o   Generate End of Day reports

o   Transfer funds to/from client’s operating accounts

o   Receive, review and process physical collateral and update system

o   Create and send collateral package

Customer Service:

·      Interacts daily with title and mortgage vendors, and other financial institutions.

·      Responds to inquiries/questions presented by members via the phone and email.

·      Provides timely response to other department’s requests.
