Dennis Devine

Dennis Devine

President & Treasurer

Dennis Devine is President and CEO of Alliant Credit Union. With decades of experience in financial services, Dennis knows the distinct advantage that Alliant can offer as a national digital credit union. Prior to joining Alliant in 2020, Dennis held senior leadership roles at KeyBank, Citizens Financial Group and PNC Bank.  Earlier in his career, Dennis was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of Michigan.  

David Leib

David Leib

Chairperson

David Leib, Chairperson, joined the Board of Directors of Alliant Credit Union in 2012. In 2017, he retired from United Airlines after a 20-year career in finance, where he was most recently a Managing Director in the Treasury department.

Before United, he worked as a civil engineer for a California water utility and a global consulting engineering firm. David holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rice University and master’s degrees from Stanford University and Northwestern University.

Earl (Lee) Achord

Vice Chairperson

Earl (Lee) Achord, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Credit Committee, joined the Board of Directors of Alliant Credit Union in 2015. He is the Vice President of Compensation for Allied Universal. His career with Allied Universal began in 1999 and he has held a number of leadership roles in Human Resources. Prior to working at Allied Universal, Lee worked in a variety of HR management roles with companies in a wide range of industries. Lee began his career in the General Mills organization and has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California.

Sue Bettman

Sue Bettman joined the Board of Directors in 2021. Sue is a partner at Brunswick Group, the world’s leading critical issues firm. She started her career at Kirkland & Ellis where she became partner, and then served as General Counsel to each of True North Communications, Huron Consulting Group, RR Donnelley, and LSC Communications.

Sue is a member of The Chicago Network, the Economic Club of Chicago, and the Chicago Club. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and the Women Corporate Directors Foundation. Sue was Board Chairperson, and Chair of the Audit & Risk Management Committee of The Sacred Heart Schools of Chicago. Sue received her bachelor's degree in Economics with Honors from Northwestern University and her juris doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she served on the leadership team of the University of Illinois Law Review.

Kenton Chow, Director, Alliant Credit Union

Director

Kenton Chow joined the Board of Directors of Alliant in 2022.  He is currently a partner with FLG Partners, a CFO consulting firm, with 25 years of experience as both a CFO and COO of various private and public technology companies.

During his career, Kenton has successfully raised over $900 million in private and public financings, which included leading the IPO of Cobalt Networks (NASDAQ: COBT), which was 30X oversubscribed, and its subsequent acquisition by Sun Microsystems for $2 billion.  In addition to financing, he has extensive M&A experience with over a dozen transactions totaling over $2.5 billion. Prior to FLG Partners, Kenton has worked for a number of successful technology companies, including; RetailNext, Wine.com, Nominum, Aurora Networks, Azul Systems, Catena Networks and PwC. 

Kenton is a graduate of Santa Clara University, earning both a bachelor's degree in Commerce and Finance and a M.B.A. In addition to Alliant, he currently serves on the board of the Planet Bee Foundation, as the audit committee chair. Ken has held prior board of director roles with Modcam AB, Union & Webster and the Leavey Business School Advisory Board at Santa Clara University.

Ajibola Johnson

Ajibola Johnson (AJ) joined the Board of Directors of Alliant Credit Union in 2021. He currently leads the Risk and Compliance program at Anixter Inc., which is part of Anixter’s business transformation initiative. In his role, he is responsible for leading risk management process design, execution of processes, monitoring and reporting of risk and compliance issues. Prior to joining Anixter, AJ held multiple leadership roles at Hospira in audit, risk management and corporate strategy. AJ began his career at Ernst & Young LLP in Chicago. He earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Deepak Khandelwal

Deepak Khandelwal joined the Board of Directors of Alliant Credit Union in 2023. He is also a Board member of HomeEquity Bank and former C-level executive with over 30 years of experience in large global companies including Google, McKinsey, Rogers, and CIBC.

Deepak has driven major digital, operational, and client experience transformations in B2B and B2C industries - especially when under threat by new business models. At Google, he co-led the SMB Advertising Business globally with over $25 Billion annual revenue. At CIBC he was a Senior Executive Vice President and Group Head with broad responsibilities including launching Simplii Financial, an online direct bank. At Rogers he was the Chief Customer Officer leading a team of 10,000+ employees and managing a $1 Billion cost base to transform the employee and client experience.

Deepak earned an Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and completed Rotman’s Director Education Program.

Sabrina King

Sabrina King joined the Board of Directors of Alliant Credit Union in 2018. She is Chief Talent Officer for LEARN, a 10-campus college prep K-8 charter school network. Sabrina began her career in financial management as an Analyst with Salomon Brothers in New York. From there Sabrina moved into human capital management as an Associate with Frederic W. Cook & Co. She has over 20 years of expertise in the financial services, transportation, and non-profit sectors. Prior to LEARN, Sabrina was Chief of People Management for the American Dental Association. She holds a master’s in Organization Behavior from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s in international government from Dartmouth College.

Sarah Searls

Sarah Searls joined the Board of Directions in 2024. She is currently the Senior Vice President of Global Digital Products at Marriot International, responsible for developing and leading Marriott’s global digital strategy and customer-facing digital transformation efforts. Before Marriot International, she served as Chief Customer Office for Choice Hotels International, where she led Choice’s marketing, customer acquisition, and digital experiences while establishing the company’s “customer-first” strategy.

Sarah earned her MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and her Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.

Woody Woodring

Woody Woodring joined the Board of Directors in 2023. Prior to retiring in December of 2022, Woody served as the first Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Truist Financial Corporation. He previously served as Chief Credit Officer for SunTrust, providing Credit Risk oversight across the enterprise.

Most of Woody’s career was spent with Truist and predecessor firms. Responsibilities increased as he took on new roles in various divisions of the business, and eventually became President and C.E.O. of SunTrust Bank, Nashville. Next, Woody assumed the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Wholesale Credit Officer for Corporate, Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Capital Markets and Wealth. He then became Head of the Wholesale Risk Organization, where he oversaw credit, operational, and compliance risks within Wholesale lines of business, Commercial and Business Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate and Treasury & Payments Solutions.

Woody is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, with a Bachelor of Economics degree, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Wharton/RMA Advanced Risk Management Program.
