Alliant Credit Union, the largest credit union in Illinois, is seeking a Loan Officer to join their Inbound Consumer Loan team. The Loan Officer – Inbound Lending will be responsible for originating consumer and home equity loan products in order to meet and exceed sales goals. The desired candidate will have a strong background in consumer lending and demonstrated sales skills.

Responsibilities of the Loan Officer will include:

• Assesses credit union member needs and counsels them regarding loan products and services.
• Offers additional loan and collateral protection products as appropriate. Products include debt cancellation, extended warranties and Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP).
• Refers additional credit unon products, such as insurance,  mortgage, investment and deposit products at a high level. 
• Originates consumer and home equity loan applications in order to meet and exceed monthly sales goals.
• Process loan applications by generating a loan application with the member financial information derived from the member interview over the phone.
• Articulately communicates loan decisions to members.

Training and Experience:

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management or related field.
• Three to five years of successful sales experience, (Financial services, Insurance, or Automobile Finance/Sales experience preferred).  
• Excellent presentation and communications skills.
• Strong organizational, technical, and decision making skills.
• Consumer Lending Experience Preferred.
