The incumbent in this position is responsible for the creation and oversight of retail sales and member/partner relationship strategies within the Alliant service center network. Work involves the direct management of national sales development program, planning and conducting sales training sessions, management of sales reporting, and identifying and implementing best practices to increase productivity. Additional responsibilities include oversight of national branch marketing plans, management of vendor relationships, and the development of sales/relationship marketing strategies for small and mid-size partnerships. Resources to do the job requires a comprehensive knowledge of credit union/bank deposit products, retail lending, and ancillary product sales as well as superior sales management and relationship marketing skills. Direction is received from the Director of Service Centers.
Sales Management: Tracks and oversees daily sales results in branch lending, ancillary product cross-sell, and balance growth. Formulates strategies to generates product and lending production throughout the network and analyzes and communicates results through conference calls, sales newsletters, and regular interaction with management team. Manages telemarketing initiatives for the branch network and ensures successful achievement of loan, deposit, and product cross-sell targets. Develops annual incentive plans for branch network and designs sales contests and promotions to drive performance. Supports Member Lending Center goals.
Relationship Marketing: Assists Area Leaders, Branch Managers, and Community Relations Team with the development of branch and partner marketing plans. Works closely with the Community Relations and marketing teams on the launch of new SEG relationships and the development of local promotions and special offers.
Vendor Management: Develops and manages ancillary product portfolio, annual business plans and serves as primary relationship contact for vendors and partners. Assists in the negotiation of contract renewals, evaluates new product offerings, and coordinates vendor-supplied training materials and coaching for branch and telephone lending channels.
Event Planning & Sale Recognition: Plans annual sales award ceremony for high performing employees. Facilitates weekly, monthly, and quarterly recognition for Front-Line staff.
Completion of a Bachelors degree in a business related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in retail sales management or sales marketing preferred. Superior sales, motivational, interpersonal and influencing skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher programs is required. Ability to travel up to 50% and to work within a remote team structure is essential to success
