Alliant Credit Union, the largest credit union in Illinois, is seeking a motivated National Sales Manager, Business Development, who will be responsible for the development of new business relationships for the credit union on a local and national level. Work involves identifying and initiating relationships with large national accounts and developing and supervising a field sales team.
Responsible for national Business-to-Business Pipeline development and management by identifying and developing qualified new business relationships for the credit union.
Works with c-level executives in prospecting, cold calling, networking, public speaking, developing and delivering presentations, maximizing speaking engagement opportunities, exuding thought leadership via publishing articles and developing valuable content for prospect mailing campaigns.
Collaborates with Marketing and National Accounts teams to launch and establish ongoing partnership agreements with national accounts to drive member engagement. Works with the Business Development team and Director to develop new business plans, budget, incentive compensation programs and targeted marketing strategies to engage activity with Select Employee Groups to meet Alliant objectives.
Coordinates and leads networking and trade show events, maintains current in HR and financial institution industries. Responsible for ongoing development and reporting of metrics tracking successful execution of tactics that support plan.
Manages a team of outside sales representatives responsible for acquiring local and national qualified SEGs while supporting account management initiatives to increase new membership and existing membership by growing solid loan dollars and deposits.
Responsible for management of the sales team: including general/staff meetings, reporting on success metrics, on-going training, coaching, individual feedback, performance reviews, and development. Promotes positive collaboration with all levels of the organization. Ensures appropriate staffing levels. Hires, disciplines and terminates according to policy.
Completion of Bachelor's degree in Marketing, business management or a related field.
Minimum seven to ten years of experience in business-to-business sales and 3 years of field sales force management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must have previous experience establishing and maintaining relationships with corporate accounts.
Previous financial institution experience in a retail banking of credit union environment is a plus and experience with group benefits preferred.
Up to 50% travel, some evening required.
