The Retirement & Investment Services Sales & Marketing Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the coordination, design, implementation, and ongoing communications for Alliant’s retirement, investment and insurance services. Responsible for providing work direction and guidance for Advisor Representatives who are key in the execution of the marketing plan. Assists in the coordination of activities designed to develop market share within our membership base related to these services. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the execution of the annual retirement and investment services marketing plan to ensure increased service awareness, member education and program visibility are achieved.
  • Program Marketing and Integration: Assists in the development and execution of sales referral programs, annual marketing plans, online tools and marketplace presence, incentive programs, and tracking/reporting systems. Ensures marketing compliance guidelines are followed and appropriate compliance approvals are received.
  • Client Marketing:  Oversees existing client marketing strategy and follow up process to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Coordinates and oversees mailings of newsletters, surveys, seminars, annual review letters, thank you cards, milestone cards and appointment information forms which are sent out by Advisor Representatives.
  • Leadership:  Supports all department and organizational goals. Provides work direction and guidance to Advisor Representatives; first level support for coordinating marketing efforts with staff employees and ensures accurate/timely administrative support is provided to Financial Advisors. Ensures compliance guidelines are followed by the Advisor Representatives in the handling of client interaction and files. Works closely with branch management and employees to ensure Financial Advisor support in those areas without a dedicated Advisor employee. Provides initial and ongoing training; will act as department LEAP Champion. Provide feedback on employee performance.
  • Seminars and Webinars:  Coordinates member seminars and webinars in accordance with annual marketing plan. Works with Financial Advisors and Advisor Representatives to make room and speaker arrangements, develops and/or chooses seminar topics and target audience, leads member communications both before and after the seminar/webinar.
  • Outcalls:  Develops and manages member outcall program. Coordinates call schedules with Financial Advisors, Advisor Representatives and retail sales and service groups.

Employees assigned to Alliant’s Retirement and Investment Services Department must be fingerprinted and complete a portion of Form U-4 (SECURITIES INDUSTRY REGISTRATION OR TRANSFER) for registration as an associated person with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) through CUNA Brokerage Services, Inc. (CBSI).

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and minimum of 2+ years of investment and insurance program management; or equivalent sales operations and marketing management experience.
  • Branch sales management and/or marketing management experience preferred.
  • 20% travel, some evenings and weekends required.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer financial services and industry best practices in developing marketing strategies.
