Wholesale Consumer Product Representative

Incumbent in this position is responsible for the third party origination channel for consumer loans.  Responsibility includes driving participation with third parties and coordinating product roll-outs to ensure overall return for the organization.  Incumbent will have command of the facts and particulars of each product line and serves as the in-house expert for the product suite.  Work requires building close relationships with internal Alliant partners to ensure channel success.  Conducts comparative analysis against competitors and provides competitive research and market intelligence on product direction and features. Resources to do the job require knowledge of lending products and Credit Union policies, processes and procedures. General supervision is received from the National Manager, Retail Sales & Relationship Marketing.

Third-Party Management Responsibilities:

·         Establish, develop and maintain relationships with Dealers and other channel relationship partners through regular communication, attendance at shows, and conferences.

·         Work closely with frontline team members, dealers, and marketing to ensure that credit union sales and loan goals are met.

·         Responsible for effective product communication to third parties and Alliant employees.

·         Research new and existing products. Monitor industry trends, including researching competitor practices and pricing and make recommendation to Product Manager. Undertake research projects and work with Marketing as necessary.

·         Participate in development and execution of a strategic product plan including annual goals and objectives for each product.

·         Partner with internal and external partners to define business best practices, trends, risks, opportunities and provide input to product requirements.

·         Work collaboratively to formalize relationships with Dealers.  Serve as a liaison between third parties and Alliant employees.

·         Develop management reports to track progress on a monthly basis.

Requirements

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Communications, or a related field and minimum of five to ten years experience in consumer lending. Experience with Indirect Consumer Lending relationships

preferred. Strong organizational, collaborative and consultative skills. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.  Advanced computer skills utilizing MS Office Suite of products.
