Nationwide, U.S. home sale prices increased by 12.2% in February 2014 compared to February 2013. This increase represents 24 months of consecutive year-over-year increases.
From January 2014 to February 2014, the price of sold homes rose by 0.8%.
On a state basis, the homes sold in Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota and Washington, DC, in February 2014 exceeded their previous price peaks. And 22 states are now within 10% of their peak home value appreciation.
Home prices nationwide are projected to increase 0.5% month over month from February 2014 to March 2014.
