Visa® Checkout

Last Modified Tuesday August 25, 2015

Visa® Checkout is a "virtual wallet" payment method available to Alliant Visa® Platinum and Visa® Platinum Rewards Credit Card holders and Alliant Visa® Debit Card holders. This service offered by Visa can help to protect your credit and debit card numbers when you are shopping online at select retailers and restaurants.

How Visa Checkout works
When you use Visa Checkout, you don't have to type your credit or debit card number into the retailer's website when you pay for your purchase. Instead, you just click the Visa Checkout button and type in your Checkout username and password. Visa then sends a payment code to the retailer without giving the retailer your card number.

Signup is fast and easy
Signup is easy. Just go to the Visa Checkout site, click the Create Account button and follow the prompts. You'll need to give Visa all your standard payment information (name, credit card info, billing and shipping addresses, etc.) to set up your account, but after that, when you use Visa Checkout, you'll just type in the login and password you created and your card number will stay private.

Where you can pay with Visa Checkout
A list of companies that accept payments via Visa Checkout is available on the Visa website. The participating companies provide a wide range of products and services. A few of the categories and retailers are listed below:
