Alliant Employees Give Well to Goodwill

05/19/2014

Chicago area employees of Alliant Credit Union recently contributed to Alliant’s 7th Annual Spring Fling Clothing Drive, resulting in the donation of thousands of gently used clothing and other items to Goodwill. Alliant President & CEO David Mooney said that the many bags of donated items were delivered to the Goodwill Donation Center in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Mr. Mooney added, “The generosity of our employees and their commitment to those in need of assistance is truly heartwarming.” The Spring Fling Clothing Drive was planned and coordinated by Alliant’s Civic Affairs Committee.

North Highland, a worldwide consulting firm that assists Alliant, partnered with the credit union in the clothing drive. Chicago area employees of North Highland made donations, which were also delivered to the Des Plaines, Illinois, Goodwill.

The subsequent sales of items donated to Goodwill help fund job training programs, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who have disabilities, lack education or job experience or face employment challenges.
