Winners of our “It pays to use our online Bill Pay” sweepstakes

To encourage our members to use Alliant Online Banking system to manage their accounts and to pay their bills, Alliant offered members the opportunity to win one of three prizes in our “It pays to use our online Bill Pay” sweepstakes.
For each bill members paid with Alliant’s free Bill Pay from November 1, 2009, to December 31, 2009, they earned one free entry into our sweepstakes.
Three lucky winners were randomly selected on January 15, 2010.
1ST PLACE – $1,000 Alliant savings deposit
Vanessa Yanez, of San Mateo, CA, is a public relations executive on the go. Good thing she has anytime, anywhere access to her accounts with Alliant Online Banking. In January, for instance, she logged in to monitor her accounts and pay bills while in London, New York, and Texas. How is she going to use her prize? “For something I’ve had my eye on for a while,” she says. “A certain brown leather couch.”
2ND PLACE – $500 Alliant savings deposit
Ralph Duffy, of Arlington Heights, IL, joined Alliant on the day he started working for United Airlines, 24 years ago. Since, then Ralph, an aircraft mechanic, has relied on Alliant to finance two mortgages, 12 car loans and a motorcycle purchase. He also relies on Alliant’s Bill Pay to pay his bills online. He plans to use his prize to help pay for his son’s college tuition.
3RD PLACE – $250 Alliant savings deposit
Bruce Everett, of Chesapeake, VA, is a United Airlines pilot who primarily flies transatlantic routes between Dulles International Airport and Europe. “Alliant’s Online Banking is as easy as can be,” he says. “It’s a snap to make instant transfers between my checking and savings account and to pay the balance of my Alliant credit card.” Bruce plans to use his prize to take his wife out for a romantic dinner.
