Utilize thrift store finds for winter accessories.
If your winter wardrobe is wearing thin but you don't have the finances to beef it up, visit your local thrift store.
Many thrift stores carry racks of new items (tags still on) from retailers that are last year or over produced. You can purchase these brand new items for a fraction of the retail cost and revive your wardrobe all at once!
Keep in mind repurposing ideas like making hats, gloves or scarves from old sweaters that no longer fit you.
You can also create winter looks from some spring/summer items by layering them with warmer items. Girls can wear a summer dress with a sweater and thick tights and guys can wear a summer tee with a long thermal under it for warmth. Add a scarf and hat to create a full, warm winter look!
