Bring the party home.

Summer poses the perfect time to bring the "night life" right into your back yard. Save on cover fees at the bar, not to mention all of the food and beverage costs, by inviting friends to your back yard for a change of pace. Encourage each guest to bring their snack or beverage of choice, while you supply one "signature" beverage or snack for all guests throughout the evening. Save money by purchasing seasonal fruits to juice for your signature beverage instead of sugary, pre-made mixes.

Don't forget to check with your neighbors first, make sure they don't mind if your friends are parking in front of their home or if you play music in your yard. Throwing a summer party is easy, fun and affordable if you do it right!

Thinking of a bigger scale? Invite a local band to play in the yard and invite the whole neighborhood - you can have your own personal concert! Check with the local authorities first, notify them you will be having a responsible get together and the noise will be kept at an appropriate level.
