Tip Forty-One
February 07, 2012
Spend less and save more.
One approach to stay, or get, on track this year is spending less and saving more. Sounds simple but it can be challenging and requires discipline. To spend less, it will require going without, eliminating impulse buys or making alternative purchases. Taking your lunch to work, reducing your latte consumption, waiting for items to go on sale and replacing expensive brands with inexpensive alternatives are just a few changes that can help you spend less. For every dollar you save, put it into your savings account and use it for an unexpected expense, larger purchase or investment, such as a down payment on a house or new car.
