Transferring money from checking to savings may take a back seat, even if you set a reminder on your phone or computer. If your savings account isn't growing the way you'd like it to, consider a new strategy.
When paying cash, every time you receive a $5 bill, save it. Use a jar on your dresser or a shoebox. Soon enough, the amount will grow and you will have a pile to deposit into your savings account at your nearest deposit-accepting ATM.
