Help your student have an active, productive summer away from school with a summer job.
Discuss interests and abilities to find the perfect summer job. An animal lover might work for a dog walking or sitting service. Day or nighttime babysitting can earn decent money these days. What about lawn care, house painting, restaurant or retail work? Be sure to promote good savings habits. Suggest spending some money and putting some away in a savings account.
