If you're considering getting a pet for your household, you should know the cost of owning it and make sure it fits your budget. In addition to the initial cost of adopting or purchasing, there is a whole other list of costs that the average pet owner will incur within a year. Depending on the animal, these costs may include food, vet visits, training, medical insurance, grooming, toys, treats, housing and dental cleanings just to name few. Plus as your animal ages, you may have to factor in medication and surgeries. Knowing the cost of the animal will help get the right pet for budget.
