Instruction for incoming wire transfers

Incoming wire transfers:

  • Received Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm, CT, will be credited to your account the same day.
  • Wire transfers received after 3:00pm, CT, Monday - Friday and on the weekend will be credited the next business day.
  • We do not charge a fee to receive incoming wire funds. However, the financial institution wiring the funds may charge for this service.

Instructions for outgoing wire transfers

To begin your transfer, complete our Outgoing Wire Transfer Authorization Form and fax or mail it to Alliant for processing.

Outgoing Wire Transfers:*

  • Domestic wire transfers are processed Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 2:30pm, CT, for a $30 fee per transfer.
  • Foreign wire transfers are processed Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 10:30am, CT, a $50 fee per transfer, and may take up to 10 business days to be received.
  • Wire transfers are processed within an hour upon receipt of proper documentation and call back phone verification
  • We cannot guarantee that the funds will be posted by the receiving institution the same day of the wire transfer.
  • Outgoing wire transfers requested on the weekend are processed the next business day.

*To avoid additional fees due to returned wire transfers you should contact the receiving financial institution to obtain its wiring/routing instructions prior to contacting Alliant.
*For your security, all wire transfers require a written request, photo ID (such as your current driver's license, state ID, United Airlines employee ID badge or Passport), signature and valid phone number. We may in some instances, initiate a call back to validate identification.
*Wires are considered immediate transfers. However, final posting times may vary based on wiring instructions and number of institutions or parties it must pass through.

Is there a fee for making an Alliant wire transfer?
Yes, there is a nominal fee. The exact fee depends on the type and time of the transfer. Click the Details tab for more information. Alliant does not charge for posting an incoming wire. However, the financial institution wiring the funds may charge for processing the wire.

What is required to make a wire transfer?
Alliant adheres to strict security processes to prevent fraud in wire transfer transactions. Therefore, we require the following to complete an outgoing wire transfer:

  • A written request
  • Photo ID - current driver's license, state ID, United Airlines employee ID badge or passport
  • A valid phone number
  • Your signature
