Digital wallet payments are convenient and secure

Check out in-store and online with the touch of your finger using digital wallet payments like Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay™ or Google Pay™ on your smartphone. Note: your smartphone must have a near field communication (NFC) chip in order to work at in-store checkouts. 

Digital wallet services like PayPal let you pay online, make donations and transfer money to friends. Peer-to-peer digital payment services like Venmo let you easily transfer money (from a credit or debit card or your checking account) to friends or family to pay your share of the rent, a pizza or a bar tab.

Alliant Visa® debit and credit cards are compatible with major digital wallet apps. To enroll in most digital wallets, you can just snap a picture of your Alliant card and type in a few more details Your future checkouts will be faster and safer.

A store or restaurant where you pay with a digital wallet only receives a single-use code – not your name, card number or security code. You’re better protected; even if that store or restaurant were hacked, your card number wouldn’t be compromised.

Your phone’s fingerprint ID/login adds another level of protection. If your phone is lost or stolen, your mobile wallet can’t be used, unlike if you lose a wallet containing your actual credit or debit card.

When you use your Alliant Visa® debit or credit card with a mobile payment service, you still have the same Visa® Zero Liability³⁷ fraud protection that you have when you use your physical card to check out.
