Alliant Credit Union announces Members Scholarship Program

03/25/2015

Alliant Credit Union is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for the 13th annual Members Scholarship Program, offering $2,000 scholarships to five of its members.

“Alliant’s reason for being is to serve our members,” said Alliant President and CEO David W. Mooney. “We’re proud to help these talented and hard-working members attain their educational goals through the Members Scholarship Program.”

The Members Scholarship Program is judged by a team of Alliant employees who volunteer to review applicants’ records of academic performance and community involvement, along with a statement of personal goals and a short essay on what Alliant means to them.

“Last year, we received more applications than ever,” said Joe McGowean, vice president, marketing communications. “More than 300 Alliant members applied for the Members Scholarship Program for the 2014-2015 school year, and we’re looking forward to surpassing that number this year.”

To qualify, students must be an Alliant member in good standing and be applying to or enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a four-year college, university or vocational/technical institution with a minimum of 12-credit hours during the 2015 fall semester.

The deadline for applying to the Members Scholarship Program for the 2015-2016 school year is June 12, 2015. Winners will be selected and notified by July 24, 2015. Details are available on Alliant’s website athttp://www.alliantpromos.org/scholarship2015.
