Alliant Credit Union Foundation Donates to United Airlines “Operation North Pole” Charity Event

Alliant Credit Union Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organization established by Chicago based Alliant Credit Union, recently made donations to assist in "Operation North Pole", a United Airlines holiday charity event.

At O'Hare Airport in early December, United Airlines will take 65 seriously ill Chicago area children and their family members on a "fantasy flight" to the North Pole, where they'll discover an array of Christmas decorations, toy filled packages, a festive lunch and best of all, Santa and Mrs. Claus. United Airlines employee volunteers, along with volunteers from Alliant Credit Union, will help decorate the North Pole and departure gates and lend additional support to this emotional, heart-warming annual event.

In addition to "Operation North Pole" activities at O'Hare, United has scheduled "Fantasy Flights" at a number of airports around the country. To help provide funds for gifts, food, decorations and related expenses, Alliant Credit Union Foundation has donated $1,000 to each of five of these events, including the one at O'Hare. The foundation provides resources to help those in need of assistance. It also supports programs that further education and raise the level of financial literacy of both children and adults. Alliant Credit Union and Foundation are both headquartered near the airport at Touhy Avenue and Wolf Road. Anyone who lives or works in any of 20 west or northwest suburban Chicago communities is eligible to join the credit union.
