Alliant Credit Union Remains One of Country’s Best Workplaces

Alliant Credit Union has been named one of the country’s best workplaces by Fortune and consulting firm Great Place to Work® for the third straight year, this time taking the No. 25 spot on Fortune's 100 Best Medium Workplaces list.

Earlier this year, Alliant earned Great Place to Work certification following an extensive independent analysis survey in which 94 percent of surveyed Alliant employees rated the Chicago-headquartered company a great workplace.  Alliant also was recognized as the No. 9 Best Small & Medium Company to Work for in Chicago in 2018 and has won the Gallup Great Workplace Award three years in a row.

“The fact that we’ve earned this recognition three straight years really demonstrates our continued commitment to excellence, growth and employee development throughout our organization,” Alliant CEO Dave Mooney said. “Employee engagement is always top of mind, and it has been and will continue to be a big driver for our overall success.”

According to Great Place to Work, 94 percent of surveyed Alliant employees say their workplace is great, 97 percent say Alliant has a great atmosphere and 97 percent take great pride in working for Alliant.  

Alliant is one of 11 Illinois companies and the highest-rated full-service financial institution on Fortune’s 100 Best Medium Workplaces list. Companies with between 100 and 999 employees compete for placement; Alliant employs more than 500 people and continues to grow.

The ranking considered more than 112,000 employee surveys from small and medium-sized companies. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.

The Great Place to Work Recognition Program only recognizes companies with high, organization-wide employee approval.
