How can I help prevent fraud on my debit card?

Here are two key ways to protect your debit card from fraud: 

• Opt in to receive text message alerts:  To opt in to receive a text alert when we detect a suspicious transaction being made with your debit card, click on the Settings tab within Online Banking, then select Personal Information, then Manage Phone Numbers. Then click the “Receive Text Messages” checkbox. You can approve or decline transactions in real time to protect your account from suspicious activity. Please verify that phone numbers listed are accurate and keep in mind that your opt-in for two-way texting applies to all debit cards on your account.
• Guard your debit card PIN: Block others’ view of your hand when you enter your PIN in an ATM, payment terminal or gas pump.
