Transferring from your bank to open an Alliant certificate

It's easy to fund an Alliant certificate with money from another bank or credit union.

1. First, transfer money from your external financial institution into your Alliant savings or checking account. If you've never transferred money from there to Alliant in the past, you'll need to set up the transfer using the easy steps shown in our External Transfers video or on page two of our How to Transfer Money 101 quick reference guide.
2. Once the money is in your Alliant account, you simply select that account as the Transfer From account on the Open a Certificate screen in Alliant Online Banking.
