What is Courtesy Pay?

Courtesy Pay is an optional feature where Alliant, at our discretion, will cover checks, electronic payments, and transfers that won't clear due to insufficient funds, helping you avoid the hassle and expense of declined transactions.

Overdraft balances are due within 30 days of use, and you can opt-in to this feature by logging in to Alliant Online Banking, going to "Manage Account" under the account you wish to enroll in, and clicking "Courtesy Pay and Overdraft Protection." See the "Overdraft and Courtest Pay" section of our Account Agreement and Disclosures for full terms and conditions. If you also want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on everyday debit card transactions, you can opt in to an extended Courtesy Pay service through Alliant Online Banking.
