When will tax forms be ready? If you have signed up for eStatements, you will not receive any paper copies of your tax forms in the mail. Alliant will send you an email letting you know when the forms are available online. You can request a mailed copy of your tax statements using the form here. Tax forms will be made available in Alliant online banking by the dates shown on the schedule below. Tax laws are subject to change. Consult your tax advisor. Alliant tax statements available by January 31* 1099-INT: Interest Income If you have earned less than $10 in interest income, you will not receive a 1099-INT. Any earned dividends less than $10 are not reported to the IRS. Your year-end reporting information can be found on your December statement 1042-S: Foreign Person’s U.S. Source Income subject to withholding (Canadian members / income reported as a result of a distribution from an IRA) 1099-R & 1099-R (CA): Traditional, Roth or SEP IRA Distributions 1099-Q & 1099-Q (CA): Education Savings Account Distributions 1098: Mortgage Interest – Home Equity, FICS If you paid less than $600 in Mortgage Interest in the calendar year, you will not receive a 1098. 1098-E: Student Loan If you paid less than $600 in Student Loan Interest in the calendar year, you will not receive a 1098-E. 1099-C: Cancellation of Debt 1099-MISC: Miscellaneous Income If you earned less than $600 in interest income, you will not receive a 1099-MISC. Alliant tax statements available by April 30* 5498-ESA & 5498-ESA (CA): Education Savings Account Contributions, Rollovers, Transfers and Fair Market Value Alliant tax statements available by May 31* 5498 & 5498 (CA): Traditional, Roth, SEP – Contributions / Rollovers 5498 forms are mailed at the end of May because members can make prior year contributions until April 15th. *Statements will be mailed no later than this date; Alliant may produce statements earlier than these dates.
