What can the joint owner of an Alliant account do with their joint account(s)? We are working on improvements to enhance the joint owner experience, including the ability for joint owners and co-borrowers to establish and manage their own online banking login without becoming members, and expanding their access. You can expect to hear more updates in 2026. In the meantime, here’s what joint owners can do online and by calling Alliant. What’s Available to Joint Owners Important: Joint owners must be Alliant members to create their own login for online banking and the mobile app. Membership is free. If you were added as a joint owner but did not complete the membership process, you will not have the full capabilities that come with joint ownership as a member. You will know if you completed the membership process if, in addition to the account you are joint owner on, you are the primary owner of a savings account. Once a joint owner becomes a member, the primary account holder must grant them online access to the account. Learn how to add a joint owner.
