Fashion on a budget

July 22, 2014 | Pam Leibfried

A new Marist Poll was released yesterday on American’s views on fashion. A whopping 86% say that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to be fashionable. That jibes with our blog post from January about fashion shopping at thrift shops.

The poll, conducted in conjunction with Marist College’s Fashion department, also showed that 68% of us think that we Americans focus too much on fashion. Yet 55% feel that how they dress is an important part of their identity, while only 45% admitted that they don’t really spend much time thinking about choosing their outfits.
