Using alerts to improve the security of your accounts

February 05, 2015 | Alliant Credit Union

Alliant’s members, like most Americans, are very concerned about protecting themselves from fraud, especially in light of the spate of data breaches that have been in the news for the past year or so.

Protecting our members’ accounts is a key priority for Alliant. That’s why we’re on the forefront in launching EMV smart-chips1 and Apple Pay for Alliant Visa® credit cardholders.

Another way to secure your financial accounts is to monitor account transactions to ensure that they are legitimate. Alliant makes that easy for our members by offering account alerts in Alliant Online Banking. You can create email alerts for yourself for any of the following:

  • Account Activity Summary
  • Account balance change
  • Check cleared
  • Check stop payment expiration
  • Debit/check-card purchase
  • Electronic deposits
  • NSF (Non-sufficient funds)
  • Withdrawal
