How will my Alliant login process change after I sign up for Two Factor Authentication? After you opt in to Two Factor Authentication, you will experience one of the following processes when you log in to Alliant Online Banking or the Alliant Mobile Banking App: After you enter your ID and password, a six-digit authentication code will be sent to your mobile phone. Enter it into the Enter the Code field to confirm your identity. Please note that once you've typed the sixth digit of your code, the number will automatically submit to online banking; you do not have to press the enter key or any button to submit your code. If you do not have access to your mobile phone, you can opt to receive your six-digit authentication code via email. Please note that the email backup option will only work if you have previously completed the email verification process. If you are unsure whether your email is already verified, you can check on the Personal Information section in Alliant Online Banking. If you have completed the Device Registration process in Alliant Online Banking and selected the “Trust this Device” checkbox, you will not be asked a security question or be prompted for two-factor authentication when you log in using your trusted device/browser combination. If you log in using any other device/browser, you will be required to enter a six-digit authentication code. If you choose to use biometrics (face or fingerprint ID) or a PIN on your mobile device, the app will only ask you for your PIN or fingerprint to sign you in. When you just close the app or tap “Sign Off,” your settings will be saved. However, if you fully “Log Out,” you will be required to enter your user name, password and a 6-digit authentication code the next time you use the app.
