Alliant Credit Union Announces Financial Tip Of The Week Contest 11/02/2011 Chicago based Alliant Credit Union is holding a contest called "Money Matters," which is related to the credit union's Tip of the Week program, according to Alliant President & CEO David W. Mooney. "We're awarding prizes to participants who submit the best tips for reaching financial goals," said Mr. Mooney. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000, with the top tip to be featured as an Alliant Tip of the Week. 1st and 2nd prize winners will receive $500 and $250 respectively. The three winners will be selected from entries submitted during November, based on the number of votes received in online voting during December 2011. Alliant's Tip of the Week, posted every Tuesday, is designed to help people by providing quick and valuable financial tips. Now Alliant wants to learn about helpful tips that others may have. "Whether your financial tips involve a frugal lifestyle, handling credit card debt, saving for retirement or tracking your spending, we'd like to know," added Mr. Mooney. To be eligible for consideration, financial tips must be received by 5pm Central Time November 30, 2011. Online voting for "best tips" runs December 1 - 22, 2011, with the winners announced January 3, 2012.
