Receiving a wire transfer to your Alliant account

You can receive a wire transfer to your Alliant account from a domestic wire transfers or international wire transfers through a US correspondent (intermediate) bank. International wire transfers are handled through our correspondent bank for processing. International wires can take up to 10 business days to be credited to the receiving institution.

Who can join Alliant?

You are eligible to apply for Alliant membership if you:

  • Work for or retired from a business Alliant partners with.
  • Or are an immediate family member or domestic partner of a current Alliant member.
  • Or live or work in an eligible community near our Chicago headquarters.

If none of the above apply to you, select “Other: Join Alliant Credit Union Foundation” during the member application process and we’ll pay the one-time $5 membership fee on your behalf.

Note for non-US residents: You can apply to join if you live outside the U.S. and have a Social Security Number or a valid ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number).

Does Alliant have any branches?

No, we are a digital credit union. If you need to talk to a human, chat with us in the Alliant mobile app or online banking, or give us a call at 800-328-1935. If you need to deposit or withdraw cash, we have more than 80,000 ATMs in our network

How do I find an ATM in the Alliant network?

You can quickly access Alliant’s massive network of fee free ATMs by visiting our website. Find an ATM here.

Through Alliant’s ATM network, you can easily make deposits (not available at all ATMs), withdraw funds, and check account balances. To help you avoid pesky fees that other banks may charge, we offer rebates for fees charged at ATMs that are out of the network (up to $20 per month for checking account holders). With our huge network and ATM rebates, you can be confident there is an ATM near you, wherever you happen to be.
