Alliant Offers More Credit Card Value with Rewards Card Increase 05/03/2017 Alliant Visa Platinum Rewards Cardholders Now Earn 2 Points Per Dollar Spent Alliant Credit Union continues to give consumers more credit card value as Alliant’s Visa Platinum Rewards cardholders now earn two rewards points for every dollar spent, up from one point per dollar. Last month, Alliant also unveiled its new best-in-class credit card for high spenders, the Alliant Cashback Visa Signature Card, which offers 3 percent cash back on all purchases in the first year (and 2.5 percent in subsequent years). “Both the new Platinum Rewards structure and our new Visa Signature card are direct results of listening to what consumers want,” said Michelle Goeppner, Alliant Senior Manager of Credit Product Strategy. “We wanted to ensure that all of our products, across the board, provide the highest possible value for our members, which completely aligns with Alliant’s consumer-focused mission.” Alliant’s Visa Platinum Rewards card gives cardholders double rewards points for every dollar they spend – with no limit on the number of points they can earn – in addition to no balance transfer fees, no annual fees and an introductory rate as low as 0 percent for 12 months on balance and transfers. Plus, consumers can earn additional points through exclusive online and in-store offers from top retailers. Points can be redeemed for cash back, travel, gift cards, merchandise and more. Cardholders can even redeem their rewards toward charitable donations. Alliant’s internal research showed that consumers wanted to earn more from their credit card, which is reflected in the revamped Platinum Rewards card.
