0.65% APY | 0.648% Dividend Rate

High Rate option can be added to Free Checking or Free Teen Checking at any time. Simply opt-out of paper statements and start using eStatements and have at least one monthly electronic deposit to your Alliant checking account.

Your electronic deposit can be a direct deposit, payroll deposit, ATM deposit, eDeposit, eDepositPlus, Mobile deposit or transfer from another financial institution.

Is Alliant Checking really free of monthly fees?
Alliant Basic & High Rate Checking have no monthly service fee or minimum balance fee, unlike most banks. Standard fees, such as non-sufficient funds and check printing, do apply — see our Fee Schedule for a complete list of these types of fees or contact a Member service Representative.

Does Alliant Checking pay a dividend?
Alliant High Rate Checking Option pays a monthly dividend, please see requirements. Alliant Basic Checking does not pay a monthly dividend. Checking dividends are paid on the last of each month. The checking dividend is subject to change monthly.

What are the requirements for the Free High Rate Checking Option?

  1. Opt out of paper statements and start receiving eStatements:
  2. Have at least one of the following recurring monthly electronic deposits to your Alliant checking account:
    • Set up direct deposit with your employer. Provide your 14-digit Alliant checking account number and the Alliant ABA Routing and Transit Number 271081528
    • Make a monthly ATM deposit
    • Make a monthly deposit using eDeposit or eDepositPlus
    • Transfer funds from another financial institution every month
      To set up recurring transfer from another financial institution you can log in to Alliant Online Banking, select “Transfer Money” and then “Other Institutions”.

Will I get a VISA® Debit Card with my Alliant checking account?
Yes, you will receive a free VISA® Debit Card, which you can use for purchases or to access ATMs worldwide.
