Does Alliant Checking pay a dividend?
Alliant High Rate Checking Option pays a monthly dividend; please see requirements. Alliant Basic Checking does not pay a monthly dividend. Checking dividends are paid on the last day of each month. The checking dividend is subject to change monthly.

Will I get a Visa® debit card with my Alliant checking account?
Yes, you will receive a free Visa® debit card, which you can use for purchases or at ATMs.
Does Alliant rebate ATM fees if I use an ATM that is not part of the nationwide network of 80,000+ Alliant-preferred surcharge-free ATMs?
Yes. If you use your Alliant checking account Visa debit card at a non-network ATM and are charged a fee, Alliant will rebate the fee up to $20 per month. The rebate is only applicable to transactions made at non-network ATMs using an Alliant checking account Visa debit card. Note: The rebate does not apply to cash advances from Alliant Visa credit cards through ATMs nor to the Alliant Convenience card, Alliant Visa HSA debit card and Visa International Service Assessment (ISA) fees. (The maximum rebate amount is $20 per month per membership account regardless of the number of Alliant checking account Visa debit cards held for each membership. What types of transactions are eligible for the ATM rebate?
Eligible transactions for the ATM rebate include deposits, withdrawals, transfers or balance inquiries from your Alliant savings or checking account when using your Alliant checking account Visa debit card. Please note that for savings account transactions, your savings account will be charged the ATM fee from the ATM owner, and Alliant will deposit the rebate into your checking account. We have been Alliant CU members since before it was Alliant! We have had checking, savings, loans, and now educational loans for our granddaughter! We feel it is a more secure way of banking, than that of traditional banks. Everyone is always helpful and friendly and the 24/7 is most appreciated. Karen
I have not needed to use another "bank" since 1997, with the exceptions of car loans. That's mainly because Alliant's auto-loans dept. was not open to do business on weekends. Other than that I love not having to be "shakin-down" by those other banks!
I've been with Alliant since 2000, I love the services. I have a checking and savings account that is excellent; I receive a call for any activity on my accounts that look suspicious. Alliant has all the banks beat, I would not give any bank my business since I opened my accounts with Alliant. The on-line services are excellent as well as the ATM sharing. Alliant is simply the best, I highly recommend this credit union they do not rip you off like all the traditional banks.

I have been a member since 1967 when Continental Airlines had about 6,000 employees. Although I left Continental in 1982 to pursue a career in the cruise industry I decided to continue using my CFCU account. Forty-eight years later I'm still a satisfied customer. Of course I was sad when CFCU was acquired by Alliant FCU but the superior service continues.
I'm especially impressed with their VISA credit card fraud division, they have save me more than once from identify theft and fraudulent use.
I heard such great reviews about Alliant credit union and decided to open an account. I received mail that was confusing on whether I had an account or not. I decided to call Alliant and spoke to a branch representative named P. who felt that my frustrations on the matter was enough to close my account. During the who conversation with P. I did not once ask her to close the account but she felt that it was what I wanted. I guess if your frustrated that means close my account!

One of the best personal banking options out there. Great service, excellent rates (relatively!), easy-to-use website, new technologies like EMV chip on card, ApplePay, eDeposit etc. And not ATM fee reimbursement. Awesome bank. Don't walk, run to Alliant.
I had to take money out of an ATM at a restaurant, it had a $4 fee! Alliant refunded the $4 I paid the other bank, this is truly a "no fee" relationship with high deposit rates! Thank you Alliant!

I love being able to deposit checks right from my cell phone. I love using the web for most of my needs and alliant's checking is everything I have wanted/needed.
YAY for having a high APR for a checking account.
It is problematic to have money in an account that you can't access if your debit card was not available. My identity was stolen recently and I could not get any cash until my new debit card came in the mail, which took 7 to 10 days. Alliant did allow me 1 day to use a sister CU to get cash, but they sent me to the wrong CU. It was a big hassle so I opened an account at a local bank just to transfer money to it and access in emergencies. Alliant is good for savings due to the interest rate.
In this modern world why does it take over 3 business days to transfer money. This happens even when I transfer within the bank. Then I get an overdraft fee.
I dont understand the overdraft fee, when there is money in the other connected account. This process does not involve a human, why would there be a fee? just because you want some fee? I tried to auto populate the checking account as much as I could but when it get short by 100$ i get charged 3$, this has happened multiple times in recent months.
Checking account information is readily available and can be easily linked to savings for transfers when needed. The double authentication for access to accounts is a welcome security feature. The network of ATM's is robust, including some locations that accept deposits.
I LOVED this place until just recently. They now have something called Courtesy Pay. It's automatically applied to your account without your permission and charges $25 for each transaction. I overdrew my account by mistake by only $3 and they tacked on the $25 fee (even though I caught the mistake and deposited the amount right after the transaction - three hours after). I NEVER thought I would write this, but they should get a program like Chase that allows a grace period before charging.
I find the security requirements reasonable. In particular I like the combined statement that shows my checking and savings accounts balance, etc and the credit card statement, all viewable in the same window.
I am really happy with our Credit Union srevices. I have been a member for many years. Really think it is great that you are always looking for ways to improve our Security, and faster services. I use both checking,and Savings. Has always paid better interest then other accounts, and ease of tranfers.....
I'm very satisfied about every asset your bank offers but I do have one problem. That is with transferring money to or from my other bank account elsewhere. When I make the transfer online, I get an immediate note that something went wrong and the transfer did not process. However, I have found that it always does!
Unfortunately, it's very disappointing to find out that when one needs to wire a sum of money from Alliant to a local bank, it costs $50, when combining both banks fees.
I like the layout of the web page and find navigating around it easy. I am very happy with my online experience!
